Sally Rooney’s writing style is different from what I am used to, for the first chunk of the book I was very unsure if I was enjoying it or not and it took me some time to get into it.
In the end I think I enjoyed reading it because I found myself relating to Frances in a lot of ways, which was also uncomfortable because of how sorry for her I felt at times.
I liked the stream of consciousness type of writing style, it made it feel more real and like I was in Frances’ mind.
