I received an arc and was super excited to read it! I am a huge fan of monster romances and I was not disappointed. Tor, my love, you have an amazingly dirty mouth. I was kicking and screaming every time he spoke. He broke her heart 15 years ago and now he’s back and the feeling are tenfold. He’s amazing with her children and wants to be a support person for all of them. They go on an adventure and spend lots of time relearning each other

I am a sucker anymore for a good Orc story. So when I got the opportunity to read this particular book I jumped at the chance! I did not read the previous book so there was a little learning curve on the world and magic system but overall if you want to read this as a standalone you absolutely can. I wouldn't recommend that because this book was wonderfull written and I want to read more of this world, but you do you.

Catrin is in a predicament. Practically a single mom to two half orc children she is woefully unprepared for this type of child rearing as their father left her while she was pregnant. She has no idea what to expect when an orc child goes through puberty! Enter Torsten, the orc who broke her heart when they were children. He has all the answers to her problems, but can Cat trust him enough to let him help? When a ridiculous horse heist presents itself Cat has no choice but to join Torsten on this mission. But it's not just the horses that are being stolen, Torsten might just steal her heart...again.

This is such a cute feel good romance. It's spicy don't get me wrong at all, there author understood the assignment! But it's also filled with real problems and concerns for a young mother. She has doubts but she never waivers in her love for her kids. This is a second chance romance in all the best ways and I will read more of the author's books!
