I rarely think that a romance novel is perfect but this one is close. The ending of the story was a bit rushed, but everything else makes up for it. I went in blind when pre-ordering the book and was so glad that I did. While the authors, Christina and Lauren were able to touch upon serious topics such as complicated family dynamics, financial struggles, and abandonment issues they were also able to flawlessly combine it with humor and witty banter. The main character, Anna, is both strong and witty while the the other main character Liam, is initially serious and could be considered a “stick in the mud” he does develop emotionally throughout the story. The chemistry and dynamics between the characters of Anna and Liam worked very well together as well. To me, this is the perfect beach/vacation read. The story made me eager to see what would happen next and I was always excited to get back to the book. I’d love to see some sort of continuation of this story especially with Liam’s brother Jake! I highly recommend!
5 stars!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I basically picked this book based on the cover because I was trying out a new audiobook app. I would have never guessed how thoroughly I'd end up enjoying this.

Look, this book is the perfect beach read: fake dating on a paradise island. The only trouble on the horizon are extremely rich and obnoxious relatives.

I was surprised that the main characters didn't annoy me, in fact I was rooting for them. The family dynamics and friendships were also interesting.

And I'm sure no one is surprised that there's quite a lot of spice, but I was surprised how much plot there was!

The Paradise Problem
Rating : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Loved it! I don't know how Christina Lauren does it, but they make you feel the coziest vibes whilst still setting the book in the middle of paradise. For me, this book had it all. It was funny, quick, light, serious (but not heavy), and a little spicy. The characters were extremely likable. Well, at least Liam (MMC) and Anna (FMC) were likable. IYKYK. I really enjoyed Anna's lightness and spunk, but I honestly related more to Liam and his structured, uptightness🤣. Together, their relationship development and banter was perfection, and it had me laughing out loud several times. I absolutely loved them together. The plot was well developed and well paced, and so easily kept my attention throughout. Also, another thing I love about this book and the Christina Lauren books I've read, is that the books have felt so well-rounded. The conclusion is so complete that it leaves you wanting nothing else. And not many books have given me that feeling. Basically, if you haven't read this book you should 😉

Thank you to Edelweiss, Gallery Books, & Simon & Schuster for the opportunity to read and review this book before it's publication date! This in no way affected my review, opinions are my own.

Review: Another winner from Christina Lauren! (Which is good because the last one I read from them was Something Wilder and that was ... not it)

There was a bit of suspending disbelief to make this one work, but in a way that felt fun and escapist instead of ridiculous. I genuinely loved the relationship between the two MCs, and the fake dating trope worked really well here.

There's honestly not a whole lot to say other than I've read 13 of Christina Lauren's books (starting after the Beautiful Bastard series, so I can't speak for those) and I would solidly recommend this one!

I absolutely loved this book from the very beginning, I’ve never related to a main character more in a book. If you’ve ever been in a relationship/ friendship and they are CLEARLY in a much higher tax bracket than you, you’ll relate to Anna Green. Her dialogue had me in stitches the entire book. I wanted so badly to be in paradise with them and watch all this juicy family drama unfold. Absolutely perfect read for the summer, especially on a porch with a rocking chair, highly recommend!!! <3
