The volume was pretty hard to follow, the art and quick transitions make things hard to make out. The story was alright, nothing too crazy but I did like the conflicts and the arc with Usagi's character, like that she's already being fleshed out a bit more. I didn't know the plot would move so fast when I picked this up, wow. I can easily seeing someone who isn't already a sailor moon fan dropping this though, however I really wanted to experience sailor moon so here I am. I wouldn't say its junk food but it's not the best written. I think young readers would like it alright, but new fans it would be a bit hard to get into. But I really enjoy the characters and the 90's shoujo style.

But why was everyone so fooled thinking Venus was Princess Serenity? Like even Venus believed it for a long while there. I know they all got their memories sealed, but did Artemis tell Venus NOTHING?! He couldn’t say to her “oh btw, you’re not the princess, you’re just her body double.”

Like I know the cats are basically secret keepers, but Artemis waited waaay too long to give even Luna a heads up about what was happening.

Jeez Artemis, let us know what’s going on.

This manga series is just getting better from out here and I can't believe it but this is making its way to be my new comfort read right at this very moment. Although I've never read or watched any of the Sailor Moon franchise before, reading it for the first time evoked some sense of nostalgia in me that's frankly heartwarming. I had some predictions that were met while reading this, but also, there were some unexpected things on here that took me by surprise and it was a little bit gut-wrenching for me. I am stoked to read read read the next volume.

P.S. I guess the only thing that can be critiqued here (though "critic" may be too harsh a word) was the worldbuilding. Readers are just being info dumped left and right through Luna and I think the way we are revealed about the world is a slight touch unnatural. Also, momentarily, I dislike how Usagi is so dependent on Luna, so I can't wait to see how her character will improve throughout this series. Since you know, with what we were jus revealed in here 👀 she really needs to mature. Pronto!!!

Also, ENDYMION (っ °Д °;)っ

This series is so very cute. Reads on the young side but that’s not unexpected. I guess I didn’t realize the target audience since the last time I consumed Sailor Moon media I was the target audience. Ha ha. Anyway still enjoying it!
