As a fan of Phil Wang’s comedy, I had high hopes and it did not disappoint. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. I felt some of his stories resonate with me (the part called ‘English Rose’ especially makes me cringe and laugh simultaneously 😂) and he wrote in such a candid manner that I felt drawn to. His stories also made me want to go to Malaysia! I felt that he’d surpassed comedy at some points though and was able to discuss serious issues without being silly, too. I would highly recommend to people who like Phil Wang and to people who are looking to read a mixed-race person’s experience ❤️
