This book pulled me in right away…I instantly was into the characters and storyline.
But about 2/3 of the way through it felt like the author changed. As if someone completely new began to pick up the story. The character arcs shifted instantly, and I started to dislike the plot. Not because of the plot itself, but because everything felt so “suddenly wrong” for each charcter’s personality. There was no build up to the shifts, which is probably why it felt like the author just needed to wrap it up quickly and with cliches.

I struggled with this one and I think it was the time in my life when reading it. It didn’t grab my attention at the beginning like I was hoping for. The book is written in multiple POV’s which I didn’t mind. It was also heavier than the beach read I was thinking it was. This was my first Emily Giffin book and I will be reading more of hers.
