This book pulled me out of a reading slump and I had a good time with it! Loved the Italian setting and enjoyed Hannah’s evolution. The ending felt a bit abrupt and I would have liked one or two chapters from Summer’s POV, but I can appreciate that the reader not knowing why the tragedy happened mirrors the way the friend group doesn’t understand it, either.

Underdeveloped story. Felt like it switched tracks midway on yr romance storyline and it was rather abrupt. Felt like a good rough draft with plot still to develop. Many parts seemed predictable. I felt bothered by the flippantly handled and unresolved potential sexual assault. Too important to leave hanging.

The first half was really good and intriguing, but once they got to Capri, everything felt really rushed and out of place. I didnt really believe that these friends would be friends, especially without Summer. They all fought so much and there was an insane amount of psychoanalysis happening between characters. It was not totally believable. And the epilogue was a bit lackluster and felt like it was written rushed.
