Not sure how I feel about this one. The blurb makes no mention of a weird supernatural feel to the whole thing so it’s not what you’re expecting as a genre. Pleased to see a book that doesn’t have a wonderful happy ending though - that seems rare!

I honestly don't really know what to make of this book. I loved the general idea but then there were so many twists that I didn't know what direction it was taking anymore. Not even sure if that's a good or bad thing. All I can say is that I was well entertained and it was just an easy, relaxing read!

This is such a wonderful little romance story with so much more to offer. It felt like the romance was really more a side story and discovering herself was more the goal. I do think a different ending would’ve been better, I‘m a little heartbroken of how are things left. But all in all I enjoyed it so much it gives a magical vibe and all the snow thats falling is creating a wonderful christmas spirit.

i finished this book the other day and i have not stopped thinking about it. this book is in no means perfect but oh my gosh i loved this book so much. but also hated the ending but that’s because it made me so emotional. i wish that it ended differently because it hurt so much. why carrie, just why.

This was incredibly bad. I got around half-way when I decided to simply skim through the rest, just because I still wanted to know what was going on.

There are so many bad things to say, I'll start with the only good one: I liked the general idea of the book overall. Spoilers in the rest of the review.

Spoiler
The idea of an island stuck in time. And that's all the good I can say about this.
The absolut drag of reading the same day 3x, useless long details (3 pages to describe winning a plush?), huge logical holes (she gets to a hotel and doesn't notice the dirty laundry piling up, it still looks as if she just arrived? Wendy is due but hasn't made any precautions on an island with apparently no doctor?), an unconvincing love story, unlikeable characters, a protagonist who stubbornly refuses to give anybody her real name because...?, and so on and so forth.

I usually refrain to be too harsh, but this really was not worth my time.
