I feel as though nothing really happened in this book. I had to push myself through it. I’ll be keeping the book but will not be reading it again.

Of course they couldn't fit the entirety of a genetic production factory on ONE island--they used another island! And this is where it all begins, oh plus Levine's ridiculous aspirations. Ian Malcolm barely made it off Isla Nublar after the disaster at Hammond's tourist trap (lol), and now he's been dragged back to a nearby Costa Rican island to look for Levine's prize--a "Lost World" to study extinction.
Everything goes wrong because you just can't plan for dinosaurs, there's no way around that fact. Unfortunately Richard Levine is delusional enough to think that observing various types of dinosaurs will be as easy as watching whales migrate.
I was kind of expecting for Thorne or Levine to die in certain parts, which I found surprising. Crichton does a good job keeping you guessing as to what is going to pop out and who is going to die.
I really liked the karma for Dodgson ha!
If anyone ever insinuates that there's an island full of dinosaurs and you're invited, gladly tell him to go eff themselves. It's the best choice as far as survival goes.
