Spend less than a few hours on this book. Very engaging, real, and interesting. Wonderful cast of characters and beautiful story. Can't wait to read the sequel and more by this author. Vying with Hope Was Here for my favorite book by this author.

This was far better than I thought it would be, I got attached to the characters and it pulled me into their little world even though I care and know nothing of the shoe business. This was just such a lovely read and I really enjoyed the main character, Jenna.

This was surprisingly really really great. I can't wait to review this book :D

this was pretty good. I recommend it, but if there are other books you want to read, this should not be @ the top of your list!

Rules Of The Road sounded interesting when I read the summary, but when I started to read the book it wa really boring. They did have interesting part of why Jenna decided to go on a road trip with her boss instead of staying home. But otherwise the story wasn't too great.

very good! i would recommend it. although, i thought, the beginning was dull, it got better as it went on. give it a try, you may surprise yourself.

Jenna is a teen shoe salesperson who recently started to drive. She is asked to drive her retiring shoe storeowner across country to go to a board of director’s meeting. The owner is a crotchety old lady. Along the way both Mrs. Gladstone (the shoe store owner) and Jenna warm up to each other. Jenna learns the importance of standing up for what she believes in from Mrs. Gladstone. They team up to try and save the shoe stores from being taken over.

This novel is a 2002 California Young Reader Medal Nominee. It is a wonderful story for teens to understand growing up and taking on responsibility. I recommend this book for ages 12 and up.

apparently i read this two years ago.....and i have absolutely no recollection of the plot or what i thought of it......so there's that. i guess i'll have to reread it sometime.
