Obviously I loved reading this and going back into my own twilight world, but Jesus I thought it dragged on, he was so draining and whingey? I didn’t know what to think of it altogether, it was so so long

Loved to see how edward experienced everything IN DETAIL. Yes the details in this book. In every book from the twilight saga. I mean i loved it but it was so loooong and kind of annoying. BUT twilight over everything guys. Love the movies they are just my childhood and will forever be.

Just can't bring myself to be interested in Edward's perspective.

Too much waffling. No new perspective or information. Too long winded. Sorry Edward, but taking two pages to describe how you're feeling at a particular moment is not good!

Oh wow! I waited so long for this book to be released. I was a HUGE Twilight fan back when they were first released. I loved the books. I devoured them, often staying up nearly all night just to finish. But oh.my.goodness. I read the chapters from Midnight Sun that Stephanie Meyer released years ago. BUT I nearly put this book down. This book is massive. 658 pages massive. I already knew Edward was a bit obsessive and that Bella and Edward's relationship was problematic, but this book took it to new levels. The first 200 pages plodded along as Edward's overly dramatic inner monologue of will-he-or-won't-he kill Bella played out. It was redundant to say the least. I stuck with it though out of my love for the original books. I really didn't get pulled in until the last 200 pages, which was probably because it was all new information about what Edward did while Bella hid out in Phoenix from James. Overall, I think the book could have been shortened. I did enjoy getting more details on some things that were inferred in Twilight and getting a better look at some of the tensions in Edward's family. I give this book a generous 3 stars out of nostalgia.
