Soo many inconsistencies and non-sensibilities!

Karin Slaughter's books are so, so dark and so, so easy to devour. Her stories are complex and layered while also being utterly page-turning. Stay up all night reading, in more ways than one.

I'm new to Karin Slaughter, this is only my second books of theirs I've read and I'm quickly becoming a fan of this author. Slaughter writes a multi-layered, dark, engrossing thriller, but one that is not for the faint hearted, you have to be prepared for disturbing and at times gross depicitions of henious crimes - note however this is done for the benefit of the story NOT as just grotesque for the sake of it. If you like the thriller movie Seven then this is the kind of thriller you will get absolutely emersed in.

I hope to read more Slaughter books this year!

I'm a Karin Slaughter fan and I always enjoy her stories. I would've rated this with four stars, but there is A LOT of graphic violence in this book.

I liked the plot and characters, but the queasy factor is never appreciated when things get a bit too twisted. I love thrillers, but not too much violence towards women in general. Nevertheless, I'll continue with this series as she's always entertaining. This is the first book in her Grant County series, and I'm expecting I'll burn through the series this year.

It will be interesting to see how the three main characters develop across this series. (Sara, Jeffrey, and Lena)

In short, Sara Linton is the town pediatrician and coroner. Her ex-husband, Jeffrey, is the town police chief. When a woman is brutally murdered, we learn that she is the sister of Jeffrey's deputy, Lena. The manner in which Lena's sister is murdered is gruesome and it stirs up very bad memories for Sara. Soon enough, all three of them are entangled in a man hunt to find a serial killer before he kills again.

This was just the book I needed right now, a fast-paced thriller. I really like Slaughter's books, they are usually fast-paced and easy to read so it was hard for me to put this down. Blindsighted, just like her other books are not for those who are squeamish, it is very raw, brutal and violent. This was the first book in a series I read and I can't wait to read more books about Sara Linton.
