Mi è piaciuto parecchio questo capitolo. Molto concreto nei ritmi con la giusta dose di suspense. Ricco di risvolti interessanti sempre legati (come ormai gran parte degli eventi DC al Dark Universe di Snyder) ma che da questa solida base si espandono in una direzione più pertinente alla magia e quindi ai casi che spettano alla JL Dark. Tynion IV fa un ottimo lavoro, imbastendo un numero spettacolare, grazie a delle tavole dalla composizione molto ricercata, ma che comunque tiene alto l’interesse nel lettore. Peccato che esca un numero ogni due mesi (credo?) perché finora è una lettura molto convincente.

When I first started reading Justice League Dark I was both amused and confused by their choice to have Wonder Woman be the lead. After all, there are plenty of characters that have more magic in them (or at least more control over their magic) than her. That being said – I never once questioned why the Justice League would choose to appoint her to be in charge of a magical division. That seemed like something they would do.
This issue went a long way in explaining the creative teams’ decision for Wonder Woman being involved, and I really can’t fault them for it one bit. This was an intense issue, though there was a certain lack of permanency to a lot of what was done (not that I wanted anything that happened to stick – it was fairly horrific at a couple of points).
I love that this issue took a little bit of extra time to talk about Zantana and her past. I know it’s always been a thing for her and her father to talk backwards, but it’s not shown nearly as frequently as I’d like.
I’ve got to say that the specific events revolving around Constantine were probably my favorite for the issue, though the emotional impact from the Swamp Thing situation certainly hit harder. I absolutely loved the karmic backlash that happened in relation to what the entity did to Wonder Woman – it was very fitting. And yes, I am being intentionally vague. I really don’t want to spoil any of this for you.
I loved the artwork for this issue. There were lots of different forms of damage that had to be shown, but the artist did a fantastic job of rendering it all. I really enjoyed the way the new power (again, being vague) was represented as well.
