This book was a quick and easy read because you want to know who the serial killer is. For me, the book completely falls apart about halfway through when the main character Soloman decides he wants to prosecute the killer even though he's a witness. That never happens in real life and a lawyer turned author should know that. And when a girl he knows turns up missing, Soloman, a supposedly intelligent prosecutor and sociologist, never seriously considers who is most likely to have done it. Completely dumb.
Unflinching in its portrayal of a psychopath and their reign of terror, the sense of immediacy in THE SECRET WITNESS by Victor Methos is palpable and had me racing through the pages! And though it blindsided me, the twist at the end was satisfactory and fitting.

I think this book had the potential to be greater than the 3.5 stars I am giving it, however, it was very predictable to me. Parts of the beginning of the book creeped me out a bit when they were describing the killer and leading up to the actual murder(s) itself but that was short lived once I figured out what was going on. Still a good book in my opinion but could have been great!

This book didn't grab me. Felt like there were a few plot holes, and I wasn't invested enough in the characters to read another book about them. I did like the final chapter , finally made sense of the title (sort of) and gave closure to some lingering questions.

Oh my...
I love when a book literally makes my jaw drop. Victor Methos takes you on a wild ride from the very first page and doesn't let you off until the last one. Looking forward to reading more of this series for sure!
