This has got to be one of the best fairy tale re-tellings ever. The ending was so sweet! :) I really enjoyed this book, nice characters, and is surprisingly deep at moments, please, KICK ASS ONE LINERS. Hopefully there'll be a companion novel or something.

"It's the secrets that hurt us the most." - page 258

Wow, this was quite an amazing story. I'm not a Fairy tale buff and don't seek out Fairy tale re-tellings - but this isn't your average fairy tale story. It's all your fairy tales but not the Disney versions. They are twisted and warped stories that would definitely scare the kiddies at night!

I though Mira was a little too flighty and loose with the word Love but...other than that I enjoyed the whole cast of characters - of course Blue, Viv and Freddie the most.

and every page was completely full of surprises. I enjoyed every minute with this book.

This book had so much potential to be something great, but unfortunately, for me, it fell short. I didn’t dislike it. I just didn’t really “like” like it. The whole time I was reading I couldn’t help but picture the TV show Once Upon a Time.

I thought it was pretty good like the fairytales and I was not confused it was explained very well. One thing I did not like was by the end of the book the other people's curses were not resolved and we no nothing about them. Also I felt how her first reaction to Blue and then to felix were sort of contradictory seeing as how she was afraid of Blue and wouldn't go anywhere with him, and then just went and stayed with fell just like that. also it says Felix will come back and try to get her but it doesn't happen and si not resolved, finally the softening of the curse was fine till they made them upset he would still murder it was not much better then before and should' they be grateful he could kiss and didn't need love force I mean come on kinda of ungrateful of them. I really want to know what happened to Viv (Snow White) and Rafe (beast)

I really enjoyed this book. It is about a girl who goes to Beaux Rivage to find the graves of her parents. While there she finds a group of people bound together by their fairy tale "curses". As she soon discovers she has a curse of her own. Will she overcome it?

I read this book in 2 days. It was a very quick and interesting read.

A Must read!!!

WROTE A REVIEW"> I go more into detail about things. And less caps and stuff

Edit: I have been thinking about this book. I can't even understand why I like it so much? The romance stuff made me uncomfortable and honestly thinking about it Mira was obnoxious at times.

I don't know, man. Something about it. I really like this story world and THINGS ;-;

4.5 almost 5 stars

Blew my mind. What a great retelling. It mixed so many fairy tales but not the fluffy ones. It made it dark, beautiful.
I didn't even know what was up with Felix though Mira y u like him
and
like
da heck
he's 21
you're freakin 15
he basically assaulted you
stop

but

All Once Upon a Time fans will love this book seriously

I don't know man I just loved seeing all the different hints and connections to fairy tales. I LOVE fairy tales and they had a lot of odd and unique ones. And the violent versions. Like Cinderella's sisters cutting off their feet to fit into the shoe. It was awful and beautiful.
The concept was a very cool one and not as HEY TOWN WITH FAIRY TALE PEOPLE BECAUSE WHY NOT as I was worried it was going to be.

Anyway not a whole lot of thoughts. Just very very good and creative and dark and cooooollll.

I loved the fairy tale aspect, but I felt like they took too long with the reveal for Blue and Felix as to what tale they were. It was pretty obvious and I was annoyed that it got stretched so long.

Review to come.

“Kill Me Softly” by Sarah Cross offers a unique twist on fairy tales with an intriguing concept and solid world-building. The story delves into the dark and unexpected aspects of familiar tales, providing a fresh perspective. However, the narrative style, which felt more like a summary than immersive storytelling, left me wanting more depth and emotional connection with the characters. The darker elements hinted at in the book could have been explored further, adding complexity to the plot. Despite its shortcomings, the book’s inventive approach might still prompt me to explore the rest of the series, hoping for a more immersive experience in the subsequent installments.
