This book was creepy and exciting. An excellent horror story if you ask me. But when it was about a quarter of the book left it got slower and not so much exciting anymore. The story was still exciting, just the language didn't impress me. Otherwise I would have given it 4 stars.

I always find it tricky to allocate stars on Goodreads. This was a decent murder mystery story, and the setting was delightfully rendered. I read it one day at the height of the summer heat wave and found it deliciously evocative of ice. It's not a four star novel but it is a four star Tuesday afternoon with a glass of wine crime novel.

Bleak and twisty.

You only need to explain how remote/cold/dangerous Greenland is before we get it. Not my favorite of hers but the end was redeeming.
