Honestly, I probably wouldn't have picked this one up if it wasn't a book club selection. I assumed the sci-fi elements would go over my head. But here I am glad that it was picked so I gave it a try.

📖: In Helena's mother has been struggling with memory loss due to dementia. In efforts to help her save and access her memories, Helena creates "the chair". Ten years later, Fake Memory Syndrome is running rampant. People have their own memories plus another set that feels just as real. What is happening?

🤝: This may be a good fit if you enjoy:
- stories that play with memory
- genre mash-ups
- thrillers that tug at your heartstrings

💭: I was happy with how digestible this was for me. There were moments where I didn't really understand what was being described, but I rolled with it and trusted the process. It flirted with being a big disjointed and repetitive at times, but it didn't cross the line. I thought it was fast-paced, thrilling, and thought-provoking. I enjoyed my reading experience and would probably pick up more from Blake Crouch. A successful read outside of my comfort zone!

I listened to some of this on audio, and I thought the narrators were great. If I had more Spotify listening hours, I would have finished the last 50% via audio.

Time travel books aren’t really my jam but this was a good spin on it, even if it made my head hurt sometimes

This was really good and fun to listen to! But I do think I would have enjoyed it more if I read it physically. The 100s of timelines were hard to keep up with while listening to an audiobook.
