The Bartlett Mystery follows the unfortunate Winnifred Bartlett whose ordinary life is tossed into chaos by a seemingly random crime. What follows is her descent into an intricate criminal plot determined to silence her.
The story begins well, falls flat, and manages to pick itself up again by the end. Winnifred is not a very developed protagonist - merely a damsel in distress who needs saving at every turn.
Overall a good story - but by no means brimming with excitement.
