I did enjoy this book, it was sweet and it was fun but over all quite predictable. I also wasn't super fond of the abusive ex aspect of it. I didn't think it would bother me as much as it did. Overall, this book was nice but kind of predictable. It was a nice easy read but it didn't make a huge impression on me.

Book about learning to trust again after
an abusive past relationship
. Liked the characters but it wasn‘t my favorite romance I‘ve read recently.

I really loved this book.  Naya is a fantastic main character, and seeing everything from her perspective worked well (sometimes I wish we had the romantic partner as well in romances, but in this case it was good having just one perspective).  I liked how realistically yet healthily characters communicated their feelings and needs mostly- not too much miscommunication for people who are turned off by that.  The cheesy jokes were fantastic and I found the banter very compelling- lots of grinning along while I read and a few LOLs.  I found myself opening the app store to re-download bumble after the first third of the book- Jake is very much so a swoon-worthy love-interest.  Not only were our main couple wonderful, but the cast of friends and other characters were interesting and- for the most part -fun as well!  The story unfolded nicely- it was paced in a way that kept my attention but didn't feel like it was going at break-neck speed.  The last fourth of the book had my heart pounding though- very intense.  Lastly, I personally enjoyed the steamy scenes, even more because the chemistry out of the bedroom was also top-notch.
