I didn’t want to like this book, but the audio narration was impeccable. Loved the banter and background noises to make it more realistic. Some of it was hard to listen to (especially when I was trying to eat) but it definitely sucked me in.

Reacher and Dexter meet spicy romance. It’s an odd combination but it mostly works. Serial killers need love too I guess? Some unapologetically intense spice (beyond the basics shall we say). 

One thing I did not like was the copious use of the word c*nt. I know the MMC is Irish and it’s a much different attitude to the word in the UK/surrounding areas but I personally hate it, don’t find it sexy and it pulls me out of the scene. To each their own I guess.

Not once in my entire 29 years of life have I ever thought [insert the heaviest sigh ever] “I wish a man would stalk me, pay a kid to deliver groceries to my doorstep, and then call me to walk me through how to make a meal with those groceries while he sits right outside my house.” But I guess it’s not too late to add that to my list of cute date ideas. 

I absolutely loved everything about this read. I laughed, I cringed, I had to stop eating a hard boiled egg whilst reading about eyes being plucked from their sockets. 10/10, all the gold stars, I can’t wait to see what book 2 & 3 bring!
