If two serial killers can find a soul mate, then anyone can. Also, I highly recommend the audiobook, Rowan is narrated by an Irish man and he sounds soooo sexy.
The scene where David uses a mandolin to slice a piece of Rowan tissue off made me sickkk.

“You’ll love me some day”

I was giggling and kicking my feet the entire time. I did the audiobook and I loved both narrators! They both really brought this book to life. I would listen to Joe Arden read the white pages to me at this point. The main guy is Irish so he did an Irish accent 🔥🔥. Very much a slow burn, but when the spice hits, it hits
🌶️🌶️🌶️. Our girl has like 5 piercings *down there*.

Also, this will not deter me from cookies and cream ice cream. Not now, not ever.

It’s about two who serial killers it’s in their point of view each chapter.Rowan is known as Boston Butcher and Solans is known as the orb weaver known as their serial killer name . They met when she locked in a cage for 3 days with no food from her a serial killer Albert Briscoe . Rowan found her and finds the keys to the cage to let her out. He invite to lunch . Rowan did this  competition in an annual game each year so he purposely see her again they race to see who can kill a particular serial killer first . The best 3 out of 5 gets to kill an exclusive villian called the forest phantom.
It kind of made feel a bit uncomfortable reading this book cause of the gruesome scenes and very descriptive. What began as annual competition turned into them falling for each other , and killer these killers together. It’s a relationship when in the begin they like each other but won’t admit their feels it might ruin their whatever relationship they have going on. I love the cringy cute love scenes when they express feelings, also some spicy moments . If you read this book you will know they were meant for each other .

Filthy and fantastic.

Rowan and Sloane were addictive to read about. I have read many rom-coms, but this dark rom-com was un-put-down-able. Two people who are so dangerous towards their chosen prey, but would never be dangerous towards one another… IMMEDIATELY YES.

Their admirable moral compasses in hunting the worst of humanity as serial killers of serial killers is only one-upped by their mutual obsession with each other. Sloane is like a black cat to Rowan’s golden retriever energy and they just so happen to like doing a bit of murdering. Mutual interests are important to a long-lasting relationship, right?! It doesn’t hurt that Rowan is tall, dark, tattooed, mysterious, and IRISH.

The annual murder competition and the years-long pining that came from the rivalry- turned friendship- turned romance was delicious. I use that word with some hesitation, seeing how accidental cannibalism is one of the hilarious trigger warnings.

I think the main reason this book had me by the throat was the delicate balance between violence and vulnerability. The author perfectly mixed danger with humor, strength with softness, and spice with true romantic intimacy. I mean *the restaurant* named and designed after them with a booth permanently reserved in her ideal spot… COME ON! It exceeded my every expectation and I am WILD for the next book.
