READ THE AUDIO BOOK!!! The narrators are going straight to heaven for the performance they gave in this book.  Such an easy read!! The spice was spicy throughout the entire book.  READ THE CONTENT WARNINGS bc she’s not kidding.  This book was definitely out of left field and surprising in the best way.  I loved the characters, I loved the plot, I loved the twist.  I’m just not quite sure how being a serial killer and a successful chef fits together and how realistic that is but it works in this book.  Not a book I’ll soon forget about and I hope there’s a sequel coming!

“You’re all the best things to me, Sloane. No matter how many bruises are in your heart or on your skin.”

Just read it. It's worth the hype. I loved this book. It's dark, thrilling, and funny with the chemistry and banter it was brilliant. Also felt like something I haven't read before with the witty fun and games serial killer vibes. Sloane is strong, smart and determined but also holding back on opening up to a chance at love. Then we have the fun flirty Irish man named Rowan who is a chef and would burn mountains for his woman. The spice was delicious and very intimate. The slow burn was strong but worth every minute. It just kept me gripped and engaged with the storyline as these characters were perfection. Very excited for the next instalment following Lark and Lachlan!

I read this book because of a blind recommendation and holy mother of god. This book is basically an unhinged watt pad fanfic. The writing (especially the female mc pov) is riddled with a very VERY millennial style of “I’m different than other girls” humor. The writing in general is very cringy but then the sex scenes start… I enjoy some adult novels as long as the sex scene are tasteful and the plot is still good, but this was pretty hard to read. The female mc actually thought the phrase “my panties dampened instantly”…  now who the FUCK says or thinks that? No one. If you look passed the cringey millennial writing and the forced sex scenes, the premise of serial killer-killers is cool and the challenge the to mc’s do is interesting, I like the idea of killers who target pedos and murderers and the orb weaver calling card is pretty cool too. These things are the only things that saved the book for me. If you are a shameless watt pad fan then you’ll probably love this.

Oh. Em. Gee!! What a ride! I love the mix of serial killer, murder, love and angst. Rowan is too horny all them time, to be honest, but his protective nature is just great. I feel like more background on each of the character would've been great, like more on how they find and choose their next kill (though I know Lachlan chooses their game pray). I think this would have helped us understand them more in terms of their relationship with killing, trauma and death. We get snippets here and there, and it may be cause Brynne Weaver wanted the romance to be more of the forefront, I don't know. Since the next book focuses on related characters, I hope we get more of Sloane and Lark's story and The Cane brothers' story.

Love the intricate ways that each kill are not the same but there is meaning how they are killed and displayed.
