Ali and I share a birthday (April 19th!) I’m always excited when I share a birthday with someone as smart and hilarious as Ms. Wong is. I loved that she chose to write this as a way to leave something behind for her daughters as well as giving the audience a small peek into her life growing up in San Francisco, CA. Her memoir was refreshingly candid, open, raw, vulnerable and humorous. I can’t wait to watch her latest Netflix special and I hope to see her perform live soon !

This book may be awkward to read if you’re actually a daughter of Ali Wong, but it packs some practical life lessons and wraps them up in a lot raunchy humour sprinkled with sincere support. I liked the touch of her husband adding and reading the afterword (the voice sounds very sexy).
