Definitely dangerous

A strong collection showing the darker side of the 'so-called' weaker sex. The tales are brutal and violent, showing this label to be a complete misnomer. They speak to the female experience in all its bloody glory, displaying the hunger and power which lies within all women. There are no 'little women' here. Highly recommended.

While, I can appreciate the core of what this anthology is attempting to do, it just did not resonate with me. Many of the stories felt repetitious with following the same arc and I felt that most of them could do "more" but did not have the space to accomplish it. The twists became less shocking with every finished story. Mixing dark fiction with topical social commentary (at times) alongside some rather shocking/grotesque/erotic writing just did not come together for me in the end.

I will say that Ferguson and Campbell's editing was superb and the prose is all very readable and engaging throughout most of this volume. Particularly Serena Jayne, EV Knight and Michelle Renee Lane's stories were the bright spots in this anthology.
