4.25 constantly heart-aching stars

Ugh, this book takes you by the heart and doesn’t let up until the end. It’s my first Colleen Hoover book, so I can’t compare it to anything else she’s written.

But my God, did my heart just constantly ache for this story. Kenna, sweet Kenna, is faced with such a difficult journey. The worst moment of her life had absolutely devastating consequences…it breaks your heart to read her pain, her inability to fully forgive herself while also trying to move on.

And Ledger…God is he a sweet man. He has points where he is very hard on Kenna (and yes, logically it is very understandable but I couldn’t help but root for Kenna, so it hurt). But he has such a golden heart. His journey of forgiving her and falling for her while simultaneously trying to mediate a very difficult custody situation- it’s just a never ending heartache (this is the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars, I don’t know if I would sign myself up for a re-read).

If you’re in the mood to have your heart stings tugged at- definitely read this beautiful story.

If you’re in the mood for something solely uplifting or relaxing, maybe wait to read this one. But definitely come back around to it.

I LOVED this book. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I love them so much it took me a long time to start another book I never wanted to leave them. It’s rare that I love every character but I really really did.

The end of chapter 41. That’s all I have to say.

A little bit harder to get into than the other coho books I’ve read, but I’m very happy it ended how it did.

:/
Idk, I just can’t really imagine immediate forgiveness after a letter, like sure you might be less appalled by the person who involuntarily caused your sons death but not sure if i would just invite them to the house?? It just felt like kicking things under the rug at the end.

I loved this book! Another one of Colleen Hoovers and another one equally as great. I felt a lot during this book, a lot of emotions. It was a very easy read and I enjoyed the chapters alternating between Kenna and Ledger. The letters were my favourite part, they brought the whole story together. Highly recommend!!!
