I knew nothing about this book when I picked it up. I was quickly dismayed by the vapid protagonist. I thought the book was going to have her mature and redeem herself, but alas, not only did she stay exactly the same, but the ending was too Hollywood for me.

Quick read. Felt like it didn’t live up to its potential because the main character was so annoying and unable to accept responsibility for anything in her life

What happens when your entire life sort of implodes in just one day and it's sort of mostly your own fault?? Sunshine Mackenzie is about to find out.

You may or may not like the characters in this book, or how they handle their individual situations. But it is a quick ready, easy to get through, and compelling enough to keep turning pages.

I liked how this book jumped right into the goings on - from chapter 1 we're with Sunny as things.start.happening. I also appreciated the short chapters - it makes me feel like I'm meeting lots of milestones along the way. There were a few instances where I felt like transitions were a little choppy, or there may not have been enough foundation for some of the plot being told. But mostly good things.

There are some f swears, for those who like to know about that ahead of making their reading choice.

I finished this one in a day- on vacation- and it was just perfect! I really enjoyed this story! I loved the real-life, flawed characters in all their ups & downs, and I really enjoyed the relationships that developed throughout! (Friendships, family, and romantic connections)
This book didn’t go as I predicted, and I loved the outcome & ending!

Great read anytime- but absolutely perfect for the beach, backyard or just to settle in to on the couch for a few hours of uninterrupted reading! :)

It started out slow, but once you got into the story, the life lessons that are in this book are wonderful especially regarding our uses of technology. Very well done.
