A fun, rollicking crime novella set (mostly) on the outskirts of NYC. Hope Colón delves into Blacky’s IRA backstory at some point.

This is fast-paced, vivid, and bursting with character. It balances grit with humor very effectively and the fight scenes kick ass. The style is lean and punchy--a fine fit with its genre. I thought the use of fragments was a bit overdone and it started to bug a bit, but it wasn't enough to sour the rest. I'll be checking out Blacky's next adventure, for sure.

Violent pulp novella about an ex-IRA killer going on a mayhem spree across the Bronx after his 1959 Plymouth Fury is stolen. Not much subtlety here just a whole lot of mayhem and violence. A fun book to spend an afternoon reading.
