Very sweet graphic novel and it turned out to be more serious than I expected it to be. There were lot of identity crisis and toxic friendship themes which I did not expect in a book that was advertised to me as the wholesome baking romance (although that is also what it is).

would recommend -

tough one. kinda sweet and left me a bit teary-eyed, but one of the characters is such an ass that the main relationship couldn’t be as cute as intended because it was actually kinda toxic.

Family, Friendship, Baking, Music.
Coming of Age, Friends to lovers.

I liked the way that the illustrator drew their expressions.

Loveable side characters.
Flawed characters.

No coming out or coming out discourse. No discussions about queer identity. Just a gay romance.

Golden Retriever x Black cat energy

Very cute! The art style is nice and the characters were dynamic.

Bloom was easy and fast to read and definitely had some cute, emotional moments I enjoyed but in total there were just too many characters and relationships that I disliked (toxic dynamics). I also felt like many changes in the relationships between the characters or to their personality just happened without any real development on page. I would have loved to see them go through the processes that led to their changes of mind. Some strings of the story also felt a bit forgotten/unfinished.
