Two and a half stars.

I read this book cause I liked Matt Haig and I loved the Radleys however I just felt this book didn't live up to the hype and expectations of the Radleys. It was still a fun story and well written but I preferred the other story. If you're a fan obviously give it a read.

It has some funny elements which make it a fun read.

I really enjoyed this title! I always end up going back to it. This is one book I could read multiple times and never get bored of it. The character development of the alien, and how their relationships with the people around them develop is well paced!

I like how the ending isn't necessarily a happy one. The main character chooses their path and still has to face the consequences for everything that takes place.

The conversations between the alien and the humans in his life make some of the best parts of the book!

This book was the most beautiful representation of how we live that I have ever seen. It's like Matt Haig took my mind and thoughts of everyone around me and put them into words. It was beautifully written and, after reading the acknowledgements, I can understand why it feels as though he and I are the same person. Incredible.

I really enjoyed this. It was dark and philosophical and sad, but also a bit silly and fun.
