ADULT and YA Fantasy
I started reading this series as a senior in high school and finished as an adult. The only complaint I have is how many times I memorized symbols that never came up again haha.

I loved the huge amounts of growth almost every single character goes through and it feels like the correct next step for them. Politics were huge, magic was huge, relationships and trust were king in this series. Loved it.

The characters didn’t really interest me. I was looking forward to reading a big high fantasy series, but couldn’t get into it the way I wanted because I didn’t really care about any of the characters

incredibly good book, the narrative was greatly immersive, the characters deep and likeable, and the world building is great. Love the wheel of time mythology and the legend of the dragon.

I finally started Wheel of Time! I have to say, the first book fully exceeded my expectations. The series starts in the sleepy little village of Two Rivers, which suddenly becomes much less sleepy when it is attacked by monsters of “the Dark One” and 3 teenage boys from the village are forced to leave their home and set out on a crazy adventure with an Aes Sedai (basically a witch) – they meet many enemies and make a few friends along the way and the whole book is action packed, and that’s just book 1! If the whole series is this exciting and unpredictable, I think I might actually read all 14 books!

The Dragon is Reborn.

I have heard this series is amazing. When I was reading it, it was fine. However,  picking up after I put it down was difficult. I was four pages from the end, and I just couldn't bother anymore.

From what I've learned since then it's that the series gets really good around book four, but I'm not going to trudge through three more books to get there.
