More of a 2.5*
I guessed the plot twist of book 2 in book 1 already.. and sadly, I don't feel accomplished since this was just too easy.. Both books should have just been combined and the "mystery" revised.

Ok so I liked it ab as much as the first one. So there wasn’t any improvement nor any decline in quality for me. I think that a big factor is the fact the the antagonist was stalking the protagonist bc she looked like his ex-wife while the ex-wife was literally her best friend. So wouldn’t he be stalking her?? Like I feel like the author played it as he found out at the same time as them but no bc he’d done research so he knew….. it just doesn’t make sense to me. Again still very entertaining and nice spice just the plot wasn’t all there
