The romance got boring. I get it, Dani is afraid of love and Zaf is insecure and muscular. Super repetitive.

One of the best romances I've ever read and definitely some of the steamiest sex scenes I've ever read! I literally had to pause and come back to it later haha. The mental health rep in this novel is EVERYTHING. It's woven so beautifully in this rom-com story that really did feel like a classic rom-com movie. Zaf is the sweetest guy, and Dani's spunk, boldness, intelligence, and overall personality are goals. Their dynamic is strong and entertaining from the get-go, which makes the reader super invested in the characters from beginning to end. I borrowed this from the library but purchased it before I even finished, knowing I'd want to annotate the hell out of it WHEN I reread it in the near future. It has such eye-opening quotes about love and anxiety and mental health in general, and I know that remembering those things for years to come will be extremely beneficial in my day-to-day. I can't wait to pick up the other two books in this companion series to see what the other Brown sisters have to offer!

I won't lie, for a second there I though Ms Talia Hibbert was going to get me to give a romance book 5 stars lol

I mean I was kind of obsessed with Danika and Zafir. Tbh I want more love interests like Zafir because he was precious. And I have never related more to an iconic, bisexual, academically stressed queen like I did to Danika.

Tbh I enjoyed it quite a bit, but just as with most contemporary romance book I read I was bored for the last 50 pages or so. The moment the story gets too emotional/happy I kind of always check out.. But that is mainly a me problem not a book problem....
