The best of the brown sister trilogy! a *slight* friends to lovers with great spiritual, religious, and cultural diversity. the inclusion of social media does not feel corny. the relationship is a slower burn than in chloe brown and both characters experience a growth arc. read twice! i love love love take a hint!

This was really sexy, really funny and incredibly sweet and cosy. There was a whole lot of fantastic representation and I especially loved the discussions about mental health for men. Zaf is described as grumpy but he’s actually such a gentle, kind guy and he cares so much for Dani and Dani is an absolute witchy goddess - together they make for such a gorgeous couple.

I listened to this as an audio book and the only thing I really had an issue with is that I wish that this had been dual narration and I wasn’t a huge fan of the narrator. I think this might have been a five star if I had read it as a physical copy.

I would recommend it if you’re looking for something cosy and sweet with a lot of great representation and loads of funny banter.

This was one of the swooniest romances that I think I’ve ever read. I had all of these giddy, happy, swoony feelings floating around in my brain and I literally had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading Take A Hint. It was just so sweet and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Dani and Zaf were so sweet and lovely and swoony. I loved that they were both so gone for each other (even before the fake dating) and how their fake dating made them realize that they might be more than just friends. I also really enjoyed both Dani and Zaf’s inner monologues! They were hilarious and relatable on so many levels. I just really loved them. Anyway, this is getting five stars and I’m so excited for Eve’s book! 😊

The second in the Brown Sisters standalone trilogy focuses on Dani Brown, whose number one priority is her career. Love and romance? That's not even on her list of things to achieve in life.

It took me awhile to like Dani's character, but I really loved her focus and intelligence. She's ambitious when it comes to her career but cynical when it comes to love. I really felt Sorcha's frustration with her. Dani definitely made me want to yell out the title of this book to her a couple of times.

Zaf stole my heart from the moment we find out he, a former pro rugby player, reads romance novels 🤍 He has a grumpy exterior but deep down is gentle, sweet, and attentive, especially when it comes to Dani. His grief was so raw and heartbreaking and I thought the way Talia handled his fears and anxieties was well done.

Just like in Get a Life, Talia knows how to create spicy romantic tension. The build up was just so good 🔥🔥 I appreciated that she also emphasized the importance of validating all types of feelings, that being vulnerable is not at all a weakness, and that a person shouldn't change who they are in order to make a relationship work.

This author has gotten me hooked. I swear somehow there’s crack in the pages. Somehow she manages to write compelling, passionate romance with none of the cringe. On top of making diverse characters and handling topics like anxiety and grief perfectly. This book definitely feels spicier than the first, with so much more tension. I never thought I was a fan of fake dating before but honestly this author could make me like a lot of tropes I didn’t fancy before. I love how with both book one and this book, she included a snippet of the future so it didn’t just end. These couples aren’t just together in the plot. It definitely is more character than plot but there is still stuff going on, with Zaf’s charity and it’s expansion along with Dani’s panel. Also it’s nice that he’s the emotional intelligent one for once while she’s the more closed off one. Just brilliant, as usual
