I am surprised I'm rating this one so highly because I absolutely hated Millie for a good chunk of the book. Then when I realised that she was actually the villain as well as the hero, I warmed up to her a tiny bit. However, all of the supporting characters were fantastic, and the romance was great. There was definitely important stuff there for teens to hear. It also had the same kind of warmth that makes me love Mamma Mia. The writing style was a bit too quirky for me, but I think I may still look into Emma Lord's backlist. It is difficult for me to find YA contemporary that I am willing to rate over 3 stars.
Graphic: Stalking and Abandonment
Minor: Racism
