I grew up watching the movie for A Little Princess and I am so glad I gave the book a chance!! It was super fun to read and super heartwarming. My favourite part of it was Sara herself - such a brave, kind and resilient little girl.

Well, this book was my first read of the year and I actually can't believe that I read a classic as my first read of the year. 

It was a very well-written book, had me hooked from the start, made me wanna cry at times, made me want to go into the book to hug Sara and protect her, made me wanna clutch my broken heart many times, made me feel disgust at the dumb rotten adults in the book, made me want to punch a wall sometimes, made me smile at the very unexpected events, made me wanna thank my student for lending me the book.

While this book is considered a classic, I had a hard time pushing through the first 150 pages. It was only then that the story finally had it’s first interesting thing happen.
