This book! How could a book be so magically amazing without any elements of magic?! Sara is such an amazing character, and I loved how sweet and genuine she is to her friends. Also how sassy she is to Miss Minchin.

Loved the book, but i'm even more in love with the movie, an all-time Christmas Classic for me !

I loved this as a kid and read it many times, but it has been a while. Still a wonderful story which hopefully encourages my children to be positive while they deal with their own “hardship.”

This is adorable. It's outdated, but it's really adorable. I think that it has definitely proven to me how much I enjoy children's classics as well.

The characters & storyline are amazingly written

I never read this growing up but we owned The Little Princess movie with Shirley Temple. Because I had seen the movie, the story felt very familiar. Several things seemed to differ between the movie and the book but isn’t that always the case? It was fun to investigate a little and learn that the book is an expanded version…the original was a short story from 1887.

I absolutely adored this movie as a child but I had never read the book, so I of course needed to rectify that. I will say that, due to my extreme love for this movie, it was going to be very hard for the book to live up to the movie and, while I did enjoy the book, it wasn't as good for me.

I think the changes made to the story in the movie made the story more touching. The story was really enjoyable and heartfelt and I think I would have loved it if I'd read it when I was younger.
