This book was the cutest! Honestly so inspiring and I loved the main character. I feel like in this era we are so obsessed with creating morally gray and tragic-backstory characters; it is so refreshing to read a Classic with one adorable and innocent main character, who happens to be a child, to make it even better! I loved little Sara, keeping her kindness despite the circumstances and knowing her worth in her heart. I feel like sometimes we all need to follow her advice; what can hurt you if you believe in your heart that everything will be alright?

A reread from my childhood - because I read this story A LOT. And watched the movie A LOT.
This is a case for me where I prefer the movie to the book: the story is a bit dated but the movie makes it a bit more palatable to younger readers. This was tricky to read at times even for me - Frances Hodgson Burnett I BEG OF YOU learn how to use a comma - but still a wonderful, ultimately feed-good story.

I adored the film when I was younger and I enjoyed the book just the same as an adult.its sweet and wonderful and I think that maybe if everyone was a little big like the main character, the world might be a better place. She so kind to everyone and she lives in her own imagination. Truly, a wonderful book.
