re read: i love reacting to the last few pages of this book as if i haven’t read it several times at this point. an elite reveal. i feel like i often lump this book with book 1 and think of it as kind of boring/ irrelevant but my eyes have officially been opened… i always sleep on this book! the setup! the drama! the intrigue! miles above book 1. this book runs so the rest can FLY!!!

Truly think out of the 3 books from Throne of Glass this was THEEEEE best. I gobbled up about half of it in 3 days after slugging through the first half of it. A GREAT BOOK.
Wow. I am at a loss for words. I don't know what to say other than wow.
This was crazier than the first book. The twists in Crown of Midnight killed me. I loved the Chaolaena moments and Celaena in general so much but I felt so bad for her throughout the book. So many things happened in the book that have gotten me even more excited to read Heir of Fire. Sarah J. Maas knows how to keep people on their toes and wanting more.
By the way: Dorian?! Celaena?! Nehemia!? Chaol!? What is happening!?! Oh my god!! I just can't believe it. It was so good. A+++

Welp, it did get better. The plot is much more interesting. Onward I go

Yeah that didn’t take long lol… I got absolutely hooked on this one. MAJOR plot twist at end had me shrieking and squeezing out loud. Did they kill my favorite character? Yes. Did the dog make it out alive? Also yes. So I’ll accept it
