4.5. Very gentle and sweet, like calm waves. Nearly cried finishing the end whilst in a coffee shop. The noise of the other customers faded into the background and Yoshimoto’s writing enclosed me in a little bubble. Felt like I was transported to the beach.

Life’s too short to read a book that I can’t connect with or that I find to be terribly translated. Between the cringe dialogue and the sentences that made no sense, I’m done.
