When I heard that DC was going to give Grifter his own title as part of the 52 reboot I was beyond excited. The Grifter was the character that got me reading comics back in ‘94 with his one shot & then WildC.A.T.s series. WTF DC? I wanted so much to love this series because of the love I had for Cole Cash & you screwed the pooch on this.

DC went & completely changed the character & his origin story from what Wildstorm/Image started. There wasn’t any Team 7, Zealot, or even Voodoo references or tie ins.

Only my of Grifter got me thru this 1st volume, but I’m so disappointed in DC & writer Nathan Edmondson’s direction they took.

Nice mix of action thriller and sci-fi elements. Art was great.
