You really fall in love with the characters, their families and their stories. However, this is not a lovey-dovey book. It’s heartfelt but also gut-wrenching. Liv, Finn and Tom all have a ton of love and a ton of loss. I was rooting for all of them along the way. I wish the epilogue was longer because I felt there was more to be said of their stories by the end. Regardless this is an amazing book of trauma and love.

Overall, I liked this! It gave me a bit of “One True Loves” vibes, just with the two men the main character was choosing between. I liked going back and forth in time to learn about the history between Liv and Finn, but I was really rooting for Tom!
Having her marry Tom only to have him die at the end felt like a little bit of a cop-out ending, to be honest, but I still enjoyed it overall.
