It reminded me a lot of The Nightingale with the bond between two sisters in historic times. If you liked that book, you’ll like this one too.

Enjoyed this WWII spy story with multiple well developed characters - a winner!

I haven't ready many (or any?) spy books so I was excited for this but I was kinda let down. The plot was kinda hard to follow at times but overall interesting enough. The ending was super unrealistic. I’m all for precocious kids but there is no way a child is doing everything the kid in this book did.

This was interesting. I liked the back-and-forth between the stories.

Thank you to Bibliolifestyle and William Morrow for sending me a gifted finished copy! This book will be published June 1.

If you’re a fan of Beatriz Williams, you’ll probably love this newest one! This was my first one and I had a hard time getting through it. I think it had something to do with the pacing of it. I liked the characters but maybe it was all just too much information and not enough plot for me.

Our Woman in Moscow features dual storylines with two twin sisters, Iris and Ruth. They're estranged and very different from each other. Iris is in Russia undercover and Ruth is in the US running a modeling agency. Iris needs help and reaches out to her sister after a long time apart. This book shows what made these two sisters leave each other's lives and how the truth behind Iris’s marriage defies Ruth’s understanding. The sisters look for safety and a Soviet KGB officer forces them to make a choice between two loyalties.

4.3 stars. What a gripping story. Beatriz Williams strikes again with a winner. I was very wrapped up in this story. I listened to it as an audiobook and man did I become obsessed. Williams does such a good job slowly revealing different things as the novel goes on helping you slowly figure out what is happening. It is a well done spy novel that left me wanting to listen to more. Especially about Ruth and Fox. It’s almost unfair that she ended the story the way she did. Would highly recommend this book.

overly complicated

so many twists and turns and not a lot of resolution - not sure what I just read. Was an enjoyable story

So. Good. A dual timeline/dual narrator setup that actually enhances the storytelling! Well-drawn characters with convincing motives and distinct perspectives! So. Good.
