4.5 stars - I really enjoyed this book, but was recently told I give too many 5 star reviews, so 4.5 it is. I love historical fiction and have found myself fascinated by Russian history in particular. This did not let me down and covered a new era in history I am less familiar with. Highly recommend, especially fans of historical fiction.

I really enjoyed this book. It was full of page-turning twists and turns that kept me wanting more. The characters were well developed, interesting, and relatable. It was refreshing to read historical spy fiction not set in WWII Europe.
I stopped caring about the characters.
