Elle Kennedy’s Body Check was a lighthearted romance and fun read. As a huge fan of hockey romances, this was certainly one I was happy to add to my TBR without batting an eye, and it didn’t disappoint. Filled with some of my favorite tropes, I fell in love with these characters and their quirky dynamic. I devoured this book and didn’t want to put it down. I really loved their interactions throughout the book, and I felt like these characters were really meant for one another. While the plot felt a little standard, I can’t get mad at that when I specifically continue to keep reading hockey romances back to back to back…to back. If you’re a fan of spicy but sweet hockey romances, I wouldn’t skip this one, period (ha, get it?).

I had a fun time; it was a quick read with a good amount of spice. Everything wrapped neatly in a bow by the end.
