Pretty good with nice art. I wanted it to go a little bit further in a certain fantasy or it's message of welcoming.

Wonderful illustrations carry the tune of a old folk song to readers. I loved the illustrations and the idea of a communal dinner where everyone is welcomed.

A pleasant enough book about making soup in the cold of the winter for guest, no matter who they are. The fun part, of course, is seeing who shows up.
Feels as thought there could have been more to this, because of the wolf girl who appears, but perhaps that is the point of the book, that guests are guests no matter where they come from? Would have loved a story about her.
Thanks to NetGalley for making this book available for an honest review.

I wasn't overly impressed by this book, but I like that it shows people of different races.
I received an ARC from NetGalley.

A beautiful seasonal children's book. The song that goes with the book (also by Workman) is also hauntingly beautiful.

Lovely and quiet and beautifully illustrated. A great book for celebrating the solstice, or just the turn of seasons. The only thing I'm not sure about is the line -- no one is different and everyone's alone (? alone? why?) but I haven't had a chance to listen to the song yet, so it may make more sense in that context.
