We all want things that we can't have. And we all have things that we don't want.
This short story collection is a well-done representative of that ideal.
In The Event Of Contact is about the struggle of being too close or too far away.
We see each person's story and emotions as they navigate throughout their lives.
We see characters finding themselves, renewing their spirits. Getting that ambition.
We also see them as vulnerable and exposed.
Whatever emotions they ride along, they're all trying to find a way to go through it.
I loved the raw, beautiful stories written.
There wasn't a time this book strayed away from my interest.
All in all, I highly recommend this one if you're looking for a cozy read!
And thank you to Dzanc Books for giving me an ARC.
