Meh. It was fine, maybe too long. Not interesting enough to get me to read the rest of the series which I feel I can already predict.

I found it funny because it was so cliché. It was entertaining.

I think it started a little slow but once I got about 1/4 through it definitely picked up!! Zahra is a baddie

I had a rough start with this book. The female MC (Zahra) seemed over the top and a little too cartoonish. Then I figured out that is the point of her character. Rowan is a traditional broody-know-it-all, damaged, overly-possessive, leading male. I usually love his type, but for some reason he fell flat for me on the page.

The spice was there, but it didn't wow me. I think I need a break from contemporary romance, before I continue this series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️

Was this a great work of literary genius? Absolutely not, but it is a very enjoyable audiobook!

The male narrator's voice is to die for and what initially drove me to listen to this. The plot was fun and playful with good tension and banter between the main characters. I appreciate how the author chose to really focus on Zahra and Rowan and using other characters sparingly. I think romance generally works best this way.

Definitely worth a listen! I will now listen to anything narrated by Aiden Snow and Desiree Ketchum.

Totally worth reading. I really enjoyed the romance and  chemistry between the characters.
