Dnf @ 22%. I’ve liked all the other books by Natasha Anders that I’ve read, but this one just didn’t capture me.

*** Book Q & A***
* How did the book make you feel?: This book was a bit of a let-down compared to the other two, but it was entertaining.
* How do you feel about how the story was told?: I felt like the book was a bit slow at first with the MC’s dancing around each other and their wishy-washiness.
* What did you think about the main characters?: I didn’t particularly like either of them. I thought Gabe was a bit vain and self-absorbed. I thought Bobbi was stubborn to the point of obnoxiousness. They were both pretty shallow. I didn’t feel the chemistry between them.
* Which parts of the book stood out to you?: I liked seeing Sandro and Theresa again!
* What themes/tropes did you detect in the story?: friends to lovers, forbidden love
* What did you think about the ending?: I thought Bobbi was a bit immature about the style thing. It was like she was a child throwing a fit over being an adult and looking nice. I thought that Gabe was mulish about the “love” thing. It worked out nicely, but I wasn’t very invested.
* What is your impression of the author?: I love this author!

he should have been on his knees Grovelling. also?? the not like other girls trope is so goddamn annoying
Bobbie is the worst. She knows he only wants her body, knows he doesn't respect her, and in the end is his fault when things go bad. He is bad too, but I really dislike when the heroine knows everything, knows no to wait things from him and still does it.
Cute and Sweet. But, I loved The unwanted wife and The ruthless proposition. This one didn't quite meet to those standards..... but the story was sweet and is a good find.

Honestly, even after he groveled, I didn’t like Gabe. Should’ve BEGGED her is all I have to say.
