Great, fun read. Very engaging, immersive writing, and makes me want to book a ticket to other side of the world right now. It has a nice mix of comedy and angst, but I do feel like it was a bit predictable and anticlimactic. I didn't feel much after finishing it, but definitely enjoyed the process of reading it.
this book was written as if a bot watched countless hours of 2-6 millennials talk about their drama, best friends, unrequited love, and dreams. and the bot is getting paid to be as descriptive as possible for literally everything in the book that doesn’t directly relate to the two main characters.
the book started off fine and then it just became stagnant and finally boring. it’s hard to believe that they had any sort of chemistry and that this was a 12 year long struggle. not to mention: they don’t really talk about who they meet on vacation?? rather just where they are and how much or how little money they spend??
