Very fun book. Fey is vulnerable and passionate while making me laugh.

Reading this book in 2025 was interesting. There were parts that definitely didn’t age well. I wouldn’t read it again or remember to suggest it.

A hilarious audiobook. But frustratingly she kept us at a distance. What was it like to meet your husband? What happened with Rachel Dratch and 30 Rock? What about Tracy Morgan? She talks eloquently later in the book about what it's like to be a working mother, and I wish the rest of that book had the same insight.
As an example of this phenomenon, the book is called Bossy Pants, but there is no mention of or examples of her being bossy. This book is like 30 Rock, really funny but short on depth and other human emotions that go beyond the funny bone.
I assume that this is because Tina Fey is a very private person. I wish she had let us in a little bit more.

I loved it just as much the second time. It is rare to hear someone being so honest about modern life - especially when it is also hilarious.
